About 4 weeks after giving birth I was to be a matron of honor at my best friend’s wedding. This was tricky. I had to be there at 7 am and this was going to be an all-day affair. This experience really taught me to think outside the box when it came to pumping. That day, I pumped in a hotel room, park bathroom, public restaurant restroom, and finally in a private venue bathroom. Despite all this pumping, I had an amazing time.
I told the photographer that I needed to pump and he let me know when a good time would be so I can make sure not to miss any of the action. The other girls were also very supportive and I think that it didn’t take away from my (or their) experience in any way.
Few important comments: make sure that you have enough batteries and check the pump to make sure they are working properly. Take enough bottles with you. I had to transfer my milk to an empty water bottle at the end of the day to make sure I had enough. Make sure that you take enough ice or find a fridge.
